My Favorite Blogging Resources
These are some of the blogging tools and resources that I love and use. I’ve taken a lot of blogging courses, but I only recommend the ones that have truly helped me.
Disclaimer: There are some affiliate links below, which means I make a commission if you choose to purchase using the links. But this comes at no extra cost to you, and these are only products that I highly recommend.
Siteground – If you want to get serious about your blog and monetize it, then self-hosting is the way to go. I switched to Siteground a few months ago, and so far, I’ve been really pleased with the customer service and speed of my site.
Divi by Elegant Themes – I got really tired of trying to customize free WordPress themes, plus I wanted to make nice landing pages and have more aesthetic options when it came to my blog. So I decided to invest in this WordPress theme early on. The theme’s visual builder helps me build posts and pages so much more quickly and easily.
Blog By Number – This course is by Suzi Whitford from Start a Mom Blog, and it’s what finally got me going on my blog after MONTHS of procrastination. I actually started out with her Blog By Number e-Book before I decided that I wanted more and went for the full course. The course is upbeat and walks you through all the important basics of starting a blog.
Convertkit – I actually got lucky and won a free year of Convertkit, but I’m not going to be able to let it go once the year is up. Convertkit allows you to make simple opt-in forms and landing pages, as well as set up sequences and automations that you can send to your subscribers.
Boardbooster – I find Boardbooster to be fairly easy to use to schedule and loop pins on Pinterest. Since I started using Boardbooster, it’s brought tons of traffic to my site with minimal effort on my end.
Tailwind – I don’t currently pay for Tailwind scheduling, but I did enjoy it when I did the free trial. It was a little more difficult more for me to use compared to Boardbooster, but it’s nice that’s it’s more modern. I do share some pins through Tailwind tribes, which are free to join right now.
Pinterest to Profits – This course is by McKinzie Bean from Moms Make Cents and was a game-changer for me. You can read my review of the course here to see how it boosted my traffic and email subscribers. If you’re not sure about going for the full course, I recommend starting out with her free course, Pinterest Primer.
Blog and Be Legal – I had this course on my wishlist for a while. When I finally took the course, it relieved a lot of stress because I no longer had to feel such a strong sense of worry when it came to making sure I was blogging legally. If you want to ensure that you’re adhering to the laws when trying to turn your blog into a business, then I highly recommend this course.
